Reno was absolutely amazing, thanks to Yvonne Irby, who could set up shop as a book PR agent. An open house one night, book club the next, then casinos and Tahoe and restaurants, oh my!
Sending lots of gratitude to the Beale Memorial Library and Bakersfield friends for an incredible event May 12. Being “in conversation” with a trusted pal – in this case, Rick Bentley, entertainment reporter extraordinaire – is the way to go!
The Kentucky rollout of Mama Tried was incredible, thanks to longtime friends Rick and Marsha Bentley and Roylee Erwin. Another treasured friend from the ’70s, Rich Liebe, helped get the word out and, as a result, my book signing at the Hopkinsville-Christian County (Ky.) Library April 25 was simply amazing.
Signing my debut novel, Mama Tried, at Lemonade Days in nearby Dunwoody, Ga., meant friends and family dropped by Brook Run Park to visit and purchase books. I loved meeting other authors, signing alongside Marilyn Baron and checking out this lively two-day festival.
